Most ERP systems, including Business Central , provide limited EDI capabilities—typically just flat file outputs for a small number of transaction types. To convert this data into standard EDI formats, companies must:
· Pay for EDI VANs or translation services, or

However, these are only part of the problem. The real challenges include:

· Diagnosing and fixing transaction errors (often originating from ERP software)
· Adding and managing trading partners and profiles
· Expanding to support new EDI transaction types not natively supported by the ERP
These activities are time-consuming, error-prone, and can negatively affect cash flow, customer satisfaction, and business continuity.
